Equitable-Minded Community

As Kaleidoscope works towards an equitable future for the families we serve and the dedicated individuals who do this work, we realize that this journey is not sustainable if we go it alone. We must create a community of equitable-minded supporters, donors, volunteers, and community partners. To begin building this equitable community, Kaleidoscope has taken the following steps to design and implement systems for transparency and accountability:

• Established a DEI webpage for regular updates and resource-sharing with the community
• Provide monthly agency-wide updates on DEI progress and opportunities for engagement
• Embed DEI and Equity goals into annual evaluation processes
• Created a system for feedback from staff
• Develop and share a DEI focused strategic plan to make expectations and focus areas to clear Kaleidoscope’s community of families, staff and supporters

While we are still in the beginning stages of Kaleidoscope’s DEI work, it is our hope that transparency and accountability will help us continue to impact the lives of Chicago’s children, youth and families with help from equity-minded individuals like you.
