ALL our children deserve a safe
home
with a family that can provide abiding, loving care. They deserve a
chance at life. And Chicago deserves the bright future
our children can bestow upon it. For those of us with means, with an eye to the future, there is no excuse, no valid reason, not to help them. FACTS: Over 4,000 kids in Chicago are in substitute care due to abuse and neglect. About one-third of these kids suffer some special need - severe emotional distress, physical disabilities or medical conditions - often resulting directly from their abuse. These are the kids Kaleidoscope serves. Because these kids require special care, they used to get moved from one home to another, learning to reject the care offered to them before getting rejected. Kaleidoscope has succeeded over the years in reducing the amount of relocation a child experiences. Today tough cases are identified at the outset and referred directly to Kaleidoscope. Known in the 80s and 90s as “the agency of last resort,” Kaleidoscope is now the agency that is turned to first, preventing children from going through unnecessary trauma, instability and feelings of displacement. Help us give hope to our most vulnerable children:
...get involved!
Help us save
lives and change
lives.
